A Long Recovery

Nate is in the hospital for today. I just left there. He was very tired from post-op recovery after an external fixator splint was placed in his left leg. The x-ray I posted a few days ago showed the femoral condyle pushing down on Nate's tibia. Those bones were separated and rotated today for stability and then fixed by this apparatus but the real surgery won't take place for at least another week or so. He will go home for a few days and then have to come back. At that point several screws and a plate will need to be used to reconstruct the damaged area before his long recovery can begin. Sigh!!!!

Wow so sorry that Nate got hurt pretty badly.....but Praise the Lord for His protection over him now......And I am thankful it wasn't any worse :-)
We will continue to pray for Nate's upcoming surgery and for the wisdom of the doctors who will be operating on Nate. Also, for Nate's bride and of course for you Pastor Skip and Lenya. We love you guys and pray for a speedy recovery. Blessings to you all. Helen and Ron Berry

Today I wished for fun to be less hard on Nate. We will continue to pray for him, for wisdom for his doctors and for his next surgery to be perfect. We know that God is in control even while hearing your sighs, Skip. Be of good cheer, for you know God has His wings wrapped around each of you...Nate, Janae, you and Lenya and the rest of your family. Prayer warriors from across this country and Australia are ongoing for Nate. Our hearts and prayers are with you.

Hey Nate & Skip,

Our prayers are with you - my husband Jim had a similar surgery and truly knows how painful it is. You take care and know that God is in control and has the surgery and your recovery all laid out!

Yikes, ya'll. Yes, being a stuntman takes it's toll at times. I feel your pain (ask me about my broken leg on the freight train incident.) Here's praying for a speedy recovery. Oh, and Skip, what injuries did you sustain when you broke the news to Lenya? Hope you were wearing your helmet (ha).
One bit of good news, (I looked this up in my study Bible) apparently during the Millenium we'll be able to ride motorized skateboards without fear of broken bones...awesome!!

I have been praying for his recovery as I know many thousands are. Also strength and endurance for Lenya and you with the Spirit infusing you with his energy and power.
